<message>I was cycling along Church Street at its western end. At the moment the no 73 bendy bus is on diversion down this bit of the street, so perhaps the driver wasn\'t familiar with this bit of road. I cycled alongside a row of parked cars and then once past them I veered towards the kerb once again, it this makes sense! I had cycled on about twenty metres when the bendy bus passed me and the cars and also moved back towards the kerb, but he did this too fast and I was nearly hit, and then I lost control on the wet gutter and landed on the footpath. I then left my slightly damaged bike at a friends place and hobbled for the train to get to work on time.</message>

There was traffic heading south so the van stopped, perpendicular to the road, completely blocking the north bound lane. I hit the side of the van, about dead centre. I hit with my front wheel and then my chin. I had been doing more than 30kmh (18.6mph) when the van pulled out but I braked hard so greatly reduced my speed before impact - the 6mph above is just a rough guess though. The van drove off but I got its number plate. I was rummaging in my pannier for a pen and the van, now southbound pulled into a side street and stopped. The driver </message>

<message>Heading north on Garratt Lane in the bus lane. Traffic was banked up in the non-bus lane. The cars had left the keep clear part of the road in the intersection with Summerley Street clear. A car, heading south, did a right turn through this gap, trying to get into Summerley Street but instead hitting me as I was crossing the intersection. I ended up on his bonnet, leaving a bit of a dent. He stopped and checked I was OK and was being quite reasonable until I asked for his insurance details (which he did give). He then went on about how I\'d have to pay for the damage to his car from where he had hit me. As it happened it costs me virtually nothing to get my bike fixed (thanks Brixton Cycles!) so I didn\'t pursue him.I had to lock my bike up on the side of the road and continue to work by bus.</message>

<message>Well, the car in front of the car in front emergency braked. The car in front (a Audi of some description) must\'ve thought the car in front was just braking, and didn\'t brake hard enough until too late... so he emergency braked in an even shorter distance. Me? I was behind the Audi... and shot over his boot and then slid off to the right and caused another car to emergency brake (a Vauxhall, I could tell because the grill was in front of my face).Once out of the road and fine (I\'m physically unhurt, but my pride is dented as is my bike)... it turns out the car that caused it all had a blow out on her front leftside tyre. Debris in the road. It was simply the congestion and lack of space at the junction that led to the smash that followed it.</message>
